The Story
The cobbler is a nineteenth-century American invention, a spirit or wine shaken with sugar and fruit and poured over crushed ice, often drunk through a straw. The Sherry Cobbler is the classic, but the template works with any spirit, and bourbon makes for a richer, warmer version.
