Bright with a chocolate undertone. A citrusy gin sour lifted by aromatic Lillet, with a subtle cocoa note from the crème de cacao that catches everyone off guard.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Gin
- 0.75 oz Lillet Blanc
- 0.5 oz White Crème de Cacao
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- Lemon twist · optional garnish
Method

Add the gin, Lillet Blanc, white crème de cacao, and lemon juice to a shaker with ice.

Shake until well-chilled.

Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Express a lemon twist over the surface and drop it in.
The Story
Created in 1937 by British bartender C.A. Tuck and named for the luxury 20th Century Limited train that ran between New York and Chicago. Its trick is the whisper of white crème de cacao, which turns a bright gin sour faintly, surprisingly chocolatey.
