Tinto de Verano
ClassicRed wine and lemon-lime soda. Spain's actual summer drink, sangria's simpler cousin.
Light, sweet-tart, and easy-drinking — the soda's citrus and sugar smooth over the wine's tannin, turning a everyday red into something built for a hot afternoon rather than a dinner table.

The Story
"Tinto de verano" — literally "summer red wine" — is what most people across Spain actually reach for in hot weather, far more often than the more internationally famous Sangria it's frequently mistaken for. It needs no fruit, no macerating, and no pitcher: just an ordinary young red wine lengthened with a sweet, lemony soda, served over ice at every neighborhood bar from Andalusia northward. Its very lack of ceremony is the point — Sangria is for a party; Tinto de Verano is for a Tuesday.
