Crisp lime and grassy, peppery tequila with just enough sugar to round it out. Clean, tart, and direct.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Blanco Tequila
  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
  • Lime wheel · optional garnish

Method

    Add the tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.

    Shake until well-chilled.

    Strain into a chilled coupe.

    Garnish with a lime wheel.

The Story

The Gimlet is traditionally gin with lime, and the same simple formula works with nearly any spirit. The Tequila Gimlet is a modern variation that is essentially a Margarita without the orange liqueur.
