  • 8 Mint Leaves
  • Mint sprig · optional garnish

Method

  1. 1

Gently muddle the mint with the simple syrup in a shaker.

  2. 2

  3. 3

    Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

  4. 4

Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

The Story

A gin sour brightened with mint, said to have been favored on Chicago's South Side during Prohibition — though New York's 21 Club and Long Island's Southside Sportsmen's Club both press their own claims. Wherever it was born, it drinks like a Mojito's more elegant, spirit-forward cousin.
