Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Sloe Gin
- 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
- Soda Water to top
- Lemon wheel · optional garnish

Method

Add the sloe gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.

Shake until well-chilled.

Strain over fresh ice in a highball glass and top with soda water.

Garnish with a lemon wheel and a cherry.
The Story
A late-1800s fizz built on sloe gin — a ruby liqueur made by steeping tart sloe berries in gin. It rode a wave of popularity through the 1970s, when its blush color and low-proof ease made it a bar staple.
