The Story
Created around 1915 by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon at the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Its rosy hue let women drink it in public when a lady openly ordering liquor was frowned upon — a gin sling dressed as fruit punch. It remains one of the most famous cocktails ever poured.
