Crisp, lightly bitter tonic and bright lime over a clean, slightly sweet rum. Dry, bubbly, and refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz White Rum
  • 4 oz Tonic Water
  • 0.25 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • Lime wedge · optional garnish

Method

    Add the rum and lime juice to a highball glass filled with ice.

    Top with tonic water.

    Stir gently to combine.

    Garnish with a lime wedge.

The Story

The Rum and Tonic is the rum counterpart to the Gin and Tonic, a simple highball that was served in the Caribbean and wherever tonic travelled. It is easy to make and lets the rum show through.
