The Story
Like the Sherry Cobbler, the Port Cobbler belongs to the nineteenth-century family of wine-based drinks served over crushed ice. Fortified wine is shaken with a little sugar and orange, then poured over a mound of ice and garnished with fruit, making a low-proof, jewel-coloured drink.
