The Story
Pink Gin is a nineteenth-century Royal Navy tradition: naval officers added Angostura bitters, originally taken as a remedy for seasickness, to their Plymouth gin. The bitters tint the spirit a pale pink, and the drink became a British institution in wardrooms and clubs.
