Soft stone-fruit sweetness from the apricot liqueur wrapped around gin's botanicals, brightened by orange juice into something closer to a grown-up creamsicle than a classic sour.

The Story

Paradise dates to the cocktail's golden age between the World Wars, when apricot liqueur — then a fixture of any serious back bar — turned up in dozens of gin sours like this one. It has stayed on the International Bartenders Association's official list since the group's earliest years, which is the main reason it has survived at all: a genuinely simple, well-balanced drink that quietly outlasted the fruit-liqueur trend that produced it.
