Rich and decadent. Coffee liqueur and chocolatey Irish cream over ice, thickened with cream and vodka's clean lift — sweet, boozy, and unashamedly a dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Coffee Liqueur
  • 1 oz Irish Cream
  • 1 oz Heavy Cream
  • Grated chocolate · optional garnish

Method

    Fill a rocks glass with ice.

    Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, Irish cream, and heavy cream.

    Stir gently until chilled and combined.

    Garnish with grated chocolate.

The Story

Said to have been born in the 1970s at the Wreck Bar on Grand Cayman, the Mudslide is a White Russian that went to dessert — Irish cream and extra cream turning coffee liqueur and vodka into a full-blown adult milkshake. It spread through beach bars and chain menus and never really left.
