The Story
The Morning Glory Fizz is a Scotch fizz from the early 20th century, listed in vintage bartending guides including The Savoy Cocktail Book (1930). It was designed as a morning pick-me-up, a hair-of-the-dog for the night before, with the foamy sparkle of a fizz and a whisper of absinthe on top. It is one of the few classic cocktails built on Scotch.
