Melon Ball

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz Vodka
• 1 oz Melon Liqueur
• 3 oz Pineapple Juice
• Pineapple wedge · optional garnish
• a cherry · optional garnish

Method

   Fill a highball glass with cubed ice.

   Add the vodka, melon liqueur, and pineapple juice.

   Stir briefly to combine.

   Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cherry.

The Story

When Midori landed in the United States in the late 1970s, the Melon Ball was one of the drinks that made it famous — a neon-green highball that leaned all the way into the era's love of sweet, fruity, easy coolers. It has never pretended to be subtle, and that is exactly its appeal.
