Ingredients
- 2 oz White Rum
- 1.5 oz Pineapple Juice
- 0.25 oz Grenadine
- 0.25 oz Maraschino Liqueur
- Maraschino cherry · optional garnish
Method

Add the rum, pineapple juice, grenadine, and maraschino liqueur to a shaker with ice.

Shake hard until well-chilled and frothy.

Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
The Story
Created in 1920s Havana for silent-film star Mary Pickford while she vacationed there during Prohibition. Bartender Fred Kaufman (or Eddie Woelke, by some accounts) built her a drink as glamorous as its namesake — and it became a Cuban icon.
