Hurricane
ClassicIBA OfficialTwo rums and a storm of passion fruit.
Fruity, tart, and potent. Passion fruit leads with its heady tropical tang, two rums build a deep and funky base, and citrus with a touch of grenadine keeps it bright and balanced. Sweet and dangerously easy to drink for something this strong — New Orleans in a glass.

The Story
The Hurricane was invented at Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans in the 1940s, reportedly to help the bar unload a glut of rum that distributors forced on them alongside more sought-after spirits. Served in a tall, curvy glass shaped like a hurricane lamp, it became a Bourbon Street institution. Beneath the party-drink reputation is a genuine tiki punch: two rums, tart passion fruit, and citrus.
