The Story
The Havana Cocktail is an early 20th-century classic that appears in vintage bartending guides, among them Harry Craddock's The Savoy Cocktail Book (1930). It is three ingredients and nothing else: rum, pineapple juice, and a touch of lemon. Shaking the pineapple hard gives it a velvety foam, which is why it feels more elegant than its simple recipe suggests.
