The Story
Michael McIlroy created the Greenpoint in early 2006 at Milk & Honey, the influential Manhattan speakeasy-style bar that trained a generation of the city's bartenders, naming it for the Brooklyn neighborhood across the river. It belongs to a small family of Milk & Honey riffs on the Manhattan and Brooklyn cocktails that swap in yellow Chartreuse for extra herbal weight — the Red Hook, created there a few years earlier, is its closest sibling.
