Ingredients
- 1 oz Green Crème de Menthe
- 1 oz White Crème de Cacao
- 1 oz Heavy Cream
- Grated chocolate · optional garnish
Method

Add the green crème de menthe, white crème de cacao, and cream to a shaker with ice.

Shake hard until well-chilled and frothy.

Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Garnish with grated chocolate.
The Story
Born at Tujague's in New Orleans, where owner Philip Guichet entered it in a 1918 New York cocktail competition and took second place. Its pale green color gave it the name, and by mid-century it was the after-dinner drink of choice across America.
