Ingredients

  • 2 oz White Rum
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.75 oz Simple Syrup
  • Lime wheel · optional garnish

Method

    Add the rum, lime juice, and simple syrup and a cup of ice to a blender.

    Blend until smooth and slushy.

    Pour into a chilled coupe.

    Garnish with a lime wheel.

The Story

Frozen Daiquiris became famous at El Floridita in Havana, where the bar served the drink blended with shaved ice. The technique crossed over to resort bars and home blenders, and the frozen Daiquiri remains the simplest way to keep the classic cold on a hot day.
