The Story

The Frisco Sour is a rye sour of old and slightly murky pedigree, generally tied to San Francisco, whose nickname gave it its name. Bénédictine, the French herbal liqueur, stands in for most of the sugar, and splitting the citrus between lemon and lime gives the drink a sharper, drier edge than the standard whiskey sour.
