Eggnog Old Fashioned

Ingredients

• 2 oz Bourbon
• 1 oz Eggnog
• 0.25 oz Maple Syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
• Nutmeg · optional garnish

Method

   Add the bourbon, eggnog, maple syrup, and bitters to a shaker with ice.

   Shake until well-chilled.

   Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube over fresh ice.

   Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.

The Story

A modern holiday riff that keeps the Old Fashioned's bourbon-and-bitters backbone but softens it with a splash of eggnog and maple. Shaking it gives a silky texture that a stirred version would not.
