Corpse Reviver No. 2
ClassicIBA OfficialGin, citrus, and a whisper of absinthe.
Bright, aromatic, and complex. Gin and fresh lemon give it a crisp sour spine, orange liqueur and Lillet Blanc add sweetness and a soft wine-like depth, and the absinthe rinse leaves a haunting anise perfume on every sip. Deceptively easy to drink for something this layered.

The Story
The Corpse Reviver family were "morning after" cocktails — drinks meant to raise the dead the day after the night before. The No. 2 was codified in the 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book by Harry Craddock, who dryly warned that "four of these taken in swift succession will unrevive the corpse again." Equal parts gin, orange liqueur, and Lillet, brightened with lemon and haunted by an absinthe rinse, it's one of the most beloved of all classic sours.
