Spicy ginger and bright lime over smooth, fruity Cognac. Zesty, warming, and refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Cognac
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 4 oz Ginger Beer
  • Lime wedge · optional garnish

Method

    Add the Cognac and lime juice to a copper mug filled with ice.

    Top with the ginger beer.

    Stir gently to combine.

    Garnish with a lime wedge.

The Story

Once the Mule formula took off in the mid-twentieth century, bartenders swapped in every base spirit. Cognac suits it well, adding fruit and warmth to the ginger beer's heat.
