Baked apple and orange over tart lemon, with Calvados's soft oak and spice. Bright, sour, and fruity.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Calvados
  • 0.75 oz Orange Liqueur
  • 0.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Lemon twist · optional garnish

Method

    Add the Calvados, orange liqueur, and lemon juice to a shaker with ice.

    Shake until well-chilled.

    Strain into a chilled coupe glass.

    Garnish with a lemon twist.

The Story

The Sidecar's formula of brandy, orange liqueur, and lemon translates easily to apple brandy. Calvados gives it an orchard character, a favorite in autumn and in Normandy-inspired bars.
