The Story
One of the "borough" cocktails, first printed in the early 1900s. Where the Manhattan uses sweet vermouth, the Brooklyn goes dry and adds maraschino plus a bitter orange amaro — traditionally Amer Picon, long scarce in the U.S., so a good amaro stands in today.
