Brandy Peach Smash

Ingredients

• 2 oz Brandy
• 3 Peach Slices
• 0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
• 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
• Peach slice · optional garnish

Method

   Gently muddle the peach slices with the simple syrup in a shaker.

   Add the brandy and lemon juice with ice and shake until well-chilled.

   Double-strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

   Garnish with a peach slice.

The Story

A Smash is a muddled drink of fruit, sugar, and spirit served over crushed ice, and brandy was one of the original bases in nineteenth-century bar guides. Peaches are a classic partner for brandy.
