Fresh lemon lemonade-style sweetness with soft, grapey brandy beneath, and a long fizzy finish.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Brandy
  • 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 3 oz Soda Water
  • Lemon wheel · optional garnish

Method

    Add the brandy, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.

    Shake until well-chilled.

  3. 3

    Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice.

  4. 4

    Top with the soda water and garnish with a lemon wheel.

The Story

The Collins family of lemon, sugar, and soda is built on gin in the famous Tom Collins, but older bar guides list brandy, rum, and whiskey versions too. Brandy makes a fruitier, rounder Collins.
