Ingredients
- 2 oz Blanco Tequila
- 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- Cola to top
- Salt rim · optional garnish

Method

Rim a highball glass with salt and fill it with ice.

Add the tequila and lime juice.

Top with cola and stir gently — traditionally with the same knife used to cut the limes.

The Story
Invented by Don Javier Delgado Corona at La Capilla in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, the Batanga is the agave world's answer to the Cuba Libre. Its signatures are the salt rim and the bartender's paring knife, used as a bar spoon.
