Affinity
ClassicScotch, sweet and dry vermouth, and bitters. A Scotch Perfect Manhattan.
Smooth, herbal, and mellow. Malty Scotch is softened by two vermouths, the sweet adding spice and raisin, the dry adding a crisp botanical edge. Light bitters round it out into something elegant and quietly complex.

The Story
The Affinity appears in The Savoy Cocktail Book (1930) and is often described as a Perfect Rob Roy: equal parts Scotch, sweet vermouth, and dry vermouth, with bitters. It is a gentle, aromatic stirred drink where the whisky is more of a team player than the star, and one of the easiest ways to introduce Scotch into a Manhattan-style cocktail.
